What a difference a day makes...

Yesterday our fine city broke the record high with a temp of 84 (recall we are in late November!)...and tonight we've had a fire going as our temps have dropped consistently since about 9 AM. It should stay cold throughout the weekend so it might actually feel like Thanksgiving. Gotta love Texas weather - that's why they say if you don't like it, hang around a minute and you'll have something totally different!

Here's a song the boy learned at school that seemed appropriate for this blog although it was filmed last week. Don't forget to pause the player at the bottom so you can hear the video!

Let me "translate" - There's a fire, There's a fire, In your house, In your house, What do you do?, What do you do?, You get out. You get out.

We really thought he might sing it when we started the fire tonight, but he surprised us. Here's about how it went: "Hot. Hot. Can you blow? (attempt to blow it out then he begins to sing...) Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you." The birthday song came out many more times before bed...what's that say about the number of candles he's seen on cakes around here?

(Please note the new post below dated Sunday. The computer locked up and I didn't realize it actually loaded the video!)
