Just take care of your own

From Mitten Strings for God by Katrina Kenison (p. 182)

"...at an informal gathering at our church, a father asked our minister how he should take care of his son's spiritual life. The reverend's answer was simple: 'Just take care of your own.' Our children learn by imitation. And just as we try, through our own actions, to model for them the art of living, we can also model a way of spiritual seeking - of openness, of prayer, of faith and devotion. When we live in a way that is consistent with our own beliefs and ideals, we give our children a gift. We bring spirituality into the here and now. We teach them that deeds and words are expressions of the spirit, that our gestures speak for our souls."

Son, I will do my best to "take care of my own" all the while praying your eyes and heart are open to see the desire of my heart. I pray God captures your heart early in life so that you may experience the most amazing love in life and in death.
